Summer Time

I talked to my best friend today, who’s back in California to celebrate christmas with her family and when she said that they had 80+ degrees in LA I got super jealous! I mean I do love a white Christmas but I still am a California girl after all… I think that’s something you’ll never forget so I love the beach and the hot weather more than anything else!
So I decided to get out my favorite beach pictures I took two or three years ago at El Porto when we were seniors and had a lot of free time after graduation and create a summer page… I know, totally wrong time of the year but still I love it 🙂

I decided to stitch a frame around the pictures in this light pink twine, which holds everything together and connects those two different parts of pictures on the page 🙂

I love pink and yellow as a combination and I love the sparkely background paper in the bright pink – so fun 🙂

Lots of love,

Last summer in England we visited Scarborough castle and took a little trip to the beach afterwards and it was such a great trip!
The colors of the pictures inspired me for the color scheme for this page: blue, yellow and a little bit of choral. I found the 6×6 paper pads with the little anchors first and new immediately, that I wanted to use them on this page. Everything else just came with it…I took some inspiration from different pictures I had saved on my computer and listened to an audio book by Cecilia Ahern, an absolutely percect evening 🙂

I wanted to add a little more blue to the page so I got out my hole punch and two different colors of blue and punched out a whole bunch of them. And since I didn’t have any lined scrapbook paper in the color I wanted, I decided to make my own and just simply drew lines on it, I’m really pleased with the way it turned out 🙂
